Freddy Poutine Fest FAQs
1. How many times can I enter the Gift Card Contest?
As many times as you can eat poutine during the event! Each time you order a poutine from a participating restaurant you can submit one photo entry by posting on Facebook and/or Instagram. Big Brothers Big Sisters will give away one $25 gift card each day.
2. Are the poutines available for delivery/pick up or just dining in?
Each restaurant determines what poutine to offer, how much it costs, and whether it is available for delivery/pick up. Please check the event page for details and how to contact your restaurant directly.
3. What should be included in my post to receive a gift card?
Share your love of poutine and your poutine pic. 5. I see $2 from each poutine goes to Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Fredericton and Oromocto. What is the money used for?
We create and support mentoring relationships for youth aged 5 to 16 who face adversity in their daily lives. We screen, train and support our volunteers so each child is matched with a mentor who shows support, expresses care, shares power, challenges growth and expands possibilities. Our professional staff work with each child, parent and volunteer to ensure a safe and meaningful experience in our programs. Research shows young people matched with BBBS mentors gain increased confidence, achieve higher levels of education, and have increased mental wellness.
6. Where can I learn more about BBBS mentoring?
We invite you to explore our website or contact us to learn more. If you are looking for an outstanding volunteer experience that can change lives with just two hours per week consider becoming a mentor with us. We ask a one year commitment to the program and offer a life changing opportunity. We have many children and youth on our waiting list right now. End someone’s wait -and be the change that ignites potential. Sign up to become a mentor with our online mentor application.
