WHAT IS BOWL FOR KIDS’ SAKE?

Big Brothers Big Sisters thrives on our fundraising events. They help fuel our programs and keep our mission going strong. Bowl for Kids’ Sake is not only our biggest annual fundraiser, it’s the most fun you’ll have at a bowling alley EVER! It’s an opportunity to come together, team up, and have fun with your community, while directly supporting the young people in it.

Get involved by entering a team or selecting a sponsorship level that puts your company in front of event participants, donors, and the entire Big Brothers Big Sisters network. At our event we provide prizes, team photos, and an hour of bowling.

Friday, May 22nd at The Drome: 6-7pm and 7:30-8:30pm

Saturday, May 23rd at Kingswood Entertainment Centre: 12-1pm and 1:30-2:30pm

Friday, May 29th at The Drome: 6-7pm

Saturday, May 30th at Gagetown Bowling Lanes: 12-1pm and 1:30-2:30pm

SO MANY WAYS TO GET INVOLVED IN THIS 70S THEMED EVENT!

We’re bringing back disco and hitting the lanes 70s-style as we aim to raise $75,000 in support of the incredible children and youth in our community. So grab your teammates, lace up those bowling shoes, throw on some bellbottoms, and get ready to boogie down to the bowling alley!

WHY WE NEED YOU TO PARTICIPATE

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fredericton & Oromocto is facing one of the highest waitlists we’ve ever had, with more than 60 children and youth waiting to be matched with a mentor. Your sponsorship at Bowl For Kids’ Sake could help us fund programs that form mentorships that can change a child’s life.

Our programs (one-on-one mentoring, in-school mentoring, and group mentoring) foster healthy childhood development that lays the foundation for academic success, economic opportunity, and responsible citizenship – all the while helping youth grow into their best selves, allowing them to reach their full potential.

WHY IT MATTERS

Our goal at Big Brothers Big Sisters is to positively impact children’s lives one at a time through our Big Brother Big Sister, Group Mentoring, and In-School Mentoring programs. Your generous support makes this possible, helping us create meaningful change for children and youth in our community. Together, we can empower young people to build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills.

IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT BOWLING, IT’S ABOUT CHANGING LIVES.

This year, once we’ve reached our $75,000 goal, a generous match from the J.T. Clark Family Foundation will kick in, doubling our impact and allowing us to support even more young people.

TEAM FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

Gather your friends, family members, or co-workers and start fundraising!

Each team consists of 4-6 groovy bowlers.
Once you’ve registered to participate, you and your crew can get to raising those dollars – for kids’ sake!
Every team member is encouraged to raise at least $75 to help us reach out goal.
Funds can be raised through our online and offline pledge sheet and registration form. Once you have filled out the registration form, we will send you a pledge sheet to complete!

It costs roughly $1200 to foster a new match. If everyone on your team raises $250, you could be Matchmakers! Since money invested in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs generates an average social return on investment of $18 for every dollar invested, the money you raise will have a huge impact in our community.
